Recent past few events made me realize that the media industry is hard to survive on. The people I met in the industry are guns for hire. Yes they really make good money. A sound man can earn 20000 in 3 months easily. But on the other hand you will be stuck doing what you do. To me what really made you is that passion in your heart. The fiery passion burning alive in my heart that keeps me going. I am not complaining about my fate. I accept it. But its up to me to change it.
Passion.I am really considering the choices in life now.
1) I continue on this industry, driven by the passion in my heart. Keep on going on and where it will lead me.
2) To continue study and acquire knowledge before jumping in to the industry.
3) Migrate to Neighbouring Country like Malaysia which I fail to intern there.
4) Change the field I am in now to Scuba Diving. I really enjoy scuba diving and could make a career out of it. maybe this career change can do it in later life.
A friend of mine lost his passion in film. Its a sad case has he really drove me into film making even further when i met him. To me this really sucks a lot. We have not yet step a foot into the real world, he has already given up. I really trust him a lot. A great potential to do something big. Something that he could be proud of.
His reason is that we student got exploited by the industry, I agree. we Got exploited at times but hey its the real world. You cant expect someone to give you a high ranking job at the first day of your job. We will tend to meet this ladder of hierarchy. Every industry have this.
I am really afraid of the future. I don not want to disappoint my parents. My are really supportive. I want to make them proud.
Do what you have to do son. Enjoy what you do. Do not give it up halfway. Do what you must. - DadMy father is really backing up what I love to do. Film Making. He really like what I do, and i do not want to disappoint him. My role model in life.
I will keep fighting. I acquire more knowledge. I will have faith. Faith its what drives my dad through his life. I Love him.
